Will and Estate Planning

Will and Estate Planning

Hepburn Incorporated strongly advises the correct drawing up of wills and sound estate planning, no matter how simple an estate may seem.

To ensure no hardship to loved ones left behind, this practice has the expertise to:

  • draw up wills in strict accordance to a set of legal rules to prevent fraud and ensure the document reflects the testator’s wishes
  • update wills - this should be done every two to three years

The cost depends on the complexity of the will.  There are involved consequences if you die without a will.  The original will must be kept in a safe place and must be lodged with the Master of the High Court upon death.

A will can benefit:

  • a person
  • a company
  • a public corporation municipality or university
  • a club
  • a charitable institution

Exceptions include:

  • a murderer – from the person he/she murdered
  • an animal – a trust is required
  • a witness and the spouse of that witness

  • Wills and estate planning
  • Trust formation and administration
  • Conveyancing and transfers
  • Specialised work in the commercial and agricultural sector (land claims included)
